If you are looking for irrigated horse property, you won’t find it in Scottsdale or Paradise Valley. Both areas are desert areas. Irrigation provides green pastures for horses and livestock and the ability to inexpensively water large areas of land. This allows homeowners to have large trees as well. Irrigated properties are found in several areas of the Valley. In the East Valley of Phoenix, you have irrigated land available in Gilbert, Chandler, San Tan Valley, Queen Creek, Florence and some areas of Mesa such as Lehi. Phoenix also has many areas that are irrigated with flood irrigation.  In the West Valley the cities of  Glendale, Peoria, Buckeye and Laveen are also irrigated. Some parts of North Phoenix have flood irrigation.
